We connect with people beyond their emergency!

Bible studies & Congregations

When people hear about our work, they often think about the emergency services we provide to large numbers of people on a daily basis. Yet, our work isn’t “hit or miss,” only for a moment in time.  We attempt to connect with people beyond a particular crisis, so that we can build relationships with them over the long haul. Our Bible studies and congregations are one way that we work at “doing life together” with the people God has given us.

Mission Arlington® volunteers lead Bible studies & congregations in 349 locations in various settings across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. These Bible studies are designed to be practical and useful for everyday living. Our Bible studies & congregations tend to be small, led by lay people, and held in a variety of settings, from apartment club houses to neighborhood homes. Dress is casual, and the musical styles vary from place to place. Call us at 817-277-6620 to find the location nearest you.

Curriculum

Mission Arlington® writes its own age-appropriate and context-sensitive Bible study curriculum. Written for children, teenagers and adults, it is used in our Bible studies, Rainbow Express® and more. The material is designed for people who didn’t grow up around the church, but are interested in learning. Download this curriculum free of charge for use in your own communities in English, Spanish and Vietnamese. At last count, this curriculum was being downloaded hundreds of times a day, accessed by people who are teaching God’s word all around the world.

Internships

Mission Arlington® offers a “hands on” learning experience which supports and supplements the academic environments of educational institutions. Independent school districts in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, along with higher institutions of learning, assign students to work in an intern relationship at Mission Arlington®. Students gain experience in the areas of medicine, nursing, social work, service, and more. Seminary students can intern in the arenas of church planting, evangelism, social ministries, Christian Ethics, and missions.

Prayer

If Mission Arlington® offers people food and clothing, but doesn’t help connect them to Christ, then we have missed the very best gift we have to offer. We believe the power of prayer will make a difference in the lives of individuals and families. Many people today do not have someone to pray with them but the volunteers of Mission Arlington® are here to fill that gap. If you have a special prayer need in your life, or if you would just like for someone to pray with you, please call us at 817-277-6620 or just come by to see us.

Prayer Garden

Mission Arlington’s Prayer Garden is located on the south end of our main property, at the intersection of Oak Street and UTA Blvd. Built with love, the Prayer Garden is open to all who want to find a quiet place to connect with God.

Summer Revival Services

Each summer, Mission Arlington® leads “Tent Revivals” in support of ministries and congregations active throughout the Metroplex. These services earned their name in that for years, all of these events were held outside under a tent. Today, these annual emphasis happens in a variety of settings and conditions across our community.
