Mission Arlington^® began on August 1st, 1986. Mission Metroplex^®, was formed in 1990 to support the work of Mission Arlington.^® Tillie Burgin is the Executive Director.

Purpose

Mission Metroplex^® supports the work of Mission Arlington^® in several ways:

1. Mission Metroplex^® provides monetary and other resources for Mission Arlington^® as a supplement to the support already provided by local churches. These additional resources give the ministry a means of independent growth, and keep Mission Arlington^® from being an undue burden on the financial resources of local congregations;
2. Mission Metroplex^® provides an umbrella of liability for the churches who support the ministries of Mission Arlington;^®
3. Mission Metroplex^® provides a method of funding for individuals and groups within the community who can’t or won’t give through a local church;
4. Mission Metroplex^® facilitates the participation of all churches in town across the denominational spectrum.

Governance

Mission Metroplex^®, is governed by an independent Board of Directors. The Mission Metroplex^® Board are committed Christians, faithful in multiple local churches, and committed to praying for, investing in, and volunteering with Mission Arlington.^®

Relationship

Mission Metroplex^® does business as Mission Arlington^®, thus the designation Mission Arlington^®/Mission Metroplex.^®

Accountability

In addition to an annual audit by a local, respected accounting firm, Mission Metroplex^® is also a member in good standing with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. You will see the ECFA seal of approval on every page of the Mission Arlington^® website.

The ECFA is committed to helping organizations like ours to earn and maintain the public’s trust through the development of accountability standards which affirm God honoring, ethical practices.

Mission Metroplex^® is also a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau, and a 4-star member for the 12th year in a row with Charity Navigator, and independent charity watchdog.
