Services for Children and Youth

After School Programs

Students receive help with their homework each week during the school year at multiple locations. Transportation is sometimes available to help children take part in this ministry. For times, locations and transportation information, call 817-277-6620.

In partnership with the Arlington Independent School District, Mission Arlington® assists children safely to and from school who are not within the school districts bus routes, but still would have to cross dangerous intersections. For more information, please contact 817-277-6620.

Summer camps are one of Mission Arlington®’s specialties. We host up to 10 camps during July, created with four different groups in mind: Preschool, school age, pre-teens and high school students. Campers engage in a variety of activities, including crafts, outdoor games, and Bible study in creative and fun ways to help them grow in their faith.

Mission Arlington® works with managers of apartment communities, police and fire departments, and other civic and community organizations to host carnivals for children and teenagers. Popcorn, snow cones and the Mission Arlington® “bouncy house” are just a few of the ways to bring smiles to the faces of children and adults alike. For more information on becoming involved with Mission Carnivals, contact us at 817-277-6620.

Rainbow Express

Each year during spring and summer, children and teenagers learn about the love of God through Mission Arlington®’s Rainbow Express – our version of “Backyard Bible Club.” Puppets, Bible stories, crafts, games and snacks combined with a lot of hugs, form the basis of our program.

Last year, Mission Arlington® hosted Rainbow Express in over 396 locations across our community. Learn how you can become a part of this wonderful ministry.

A few years ago, a friend of ours established a college fund for Mission Arlington® youth. The interest earned from this fund is used each year to help students with some of the costs associated with starting college. Scholarship recipients regularly attend Mission Arlington® Bible studies and are referred by Mission Arlington® Bible study leaders. Learn more about our scholarship program or learn about the ways you can help support our youth by calling us at 817-277-6620.

School Supplies

Starting school with the basic essentials such as paper, pencils, rulers and more is important to the success of students. Each summer, Mission Arlington® partners with the community to provide the basic start-up school supplies required by the Arlington Independent School District for families who do not have the means to purchase these items for their children. To help the youth of our community receive a head start, you can drop off needed supplies Monday through Saturday, 7am to 7pm or Sundays from 7am to 3:30pm at the Mission offices. Mission Arlington® has two facilities dedicated to youth ministries including game rooms, sports fields and a gymnasium. Once a month, we strive to make a difference in the physical, emotional and spiritual lives of young people with our Friday Youth Gym Nights. Children and youth enjoy sports, games and devotion in a safe environment. In February, the Mission offers 3-on-3 basketball leagues and in the fall we host a full-scale soccer league.
